About DTS Waste Management
DTS Waste Management was incorporated as a separate entity in 2010, following its split from sister company, DTS Environmental. The company assumed responsibility for a number of existing customers, providing them with the same high levels of DTS service they had become accustomed to. Splitting into a smaller company has enabled DTS Waste to focus on a smaller number of activities, while drawing upon many years of accumulated experience in the waste industry.
We are focused upon providing waste collection and recycling services for businesses and public organisations, primarily throughout South and West Yorkshire, but on a national basis where possible. We seek to simplify the waste management process for customers, diverting their waste from landfill at the lowest costs achievable.
Zero Landfill
The company neither owns nor manages landfill sites, which removes all incentive for us to use such facilities. So far, DTS Waste Management has succeeded in not sending any of the 3,500 tonnes of waste it handles per year directly to landfill.
While we recognise that landfill is still an essential part of the waste hierarchy and unavoidable in many cases, we continue to pursue a wide range of alternatives. This protects us from landfill tax increases, enabling us to pass on such savings to our customers. At present, the landfill tax, levied on every tonne of waste sent to landfill, is at £56.00 per tonne and will rise at the rate of £8.00 per tonne on an annual basis, until at least 2014. Fortunately, however, there are a number of ways to reduce your exposure to this tax and DTS Waste Management can readily assist - please contact us to find out more.
