Commercial Waste
Waste collections from most business premises, as well as other offices and educational organisations can usually be considered "commercial waste collections". We collect such lightweight, compactable waste from a varierty of shops, restaurants, hotels, pubs, offices and schools.
All waste collected by the company is handled in the most environmentally-friendly and cost-conscious manner, avoiding landfill wherever possible. By diverting your waste from landfill, we can assist you in avoiding annual landfill tax increases, reducing your costs and your impact on the environment, satisfying pre-treatments regulations in the process. At present, the company does not send any waste directly to landfill - all waste is reprocessed to recover any recyclable materials.
The most common form of collections is by using wheelie bins. These containers are provided by DTS Waste Management and emptied on agreed schedules, typically once per week, on a designated day of the week. They are available in the following sizes:
- Tape/Labels designed for collections of small amounts of cardboard
- Refuse sacks (with a capacity of approximately 80 litres, or 5kg)
- 240 Litres (approx. 4 refuse bags, or 15kg)
- 360L (approx. 6 bags, or 20kg)
- 660L (approx. 8 - 10 bags, or 40kg)
- 1100L (approx. 13 - 15 bags, or 65 kg)
We can also provide larger containers, in the form of either Front End Loaders (FEL containers) or Rear End Loaders (REL containers) from 6 cubic yards (4.6 cubic metres) to 16 cubic yards (12.2 cubic metres), as well as roll on/off containers for even larger amounts of waste.
As well as collecting general, mixed, waste, we can also provide dedicated containers for the following materials:
- Glass
- Cardboard
- Food
- Mixed packaging waste/"Dry Mixed Recyclables" (card, paper, plastic bottles, cans and plastic film)
Coverage Areas
The main areas we cover at present are all, or most parts of: Barnsley, Wakefield, Rotherham, Sheffield and Leeds. We are always expanding to reach new areas, however, so please feel free to contact us to check whether we can cover your area.
